Together we will reflect on how lay visitation strengthens congregational care and deepens the bonds of community.

With Rev Craig Peterson, Associate Conference Minister. This session equips lay leaders to step confidently into worship leadership, offering both the theological grounding and practical skills needed to guide a congregation in prayer, scripture, and song. We will highlight how the New Jersey Association’s lay led worship training program is already thriving, providing a model for how congregations can nurture and empower new leaders. Together, we will explore simple, accessible techniques to support laity-led worship with authenticity, clarity, and a sense of sacred presence.

With Mrs. Sue Creswell, Keystone Conference and Rev Gary Barraco. This session introduces the vision for creating a Community of Practice for church administrative and financial volunteers—a supportive network where leaders can share tips, troubleshoot challenges, and strengthen one another’s ministries. Participants will explore how regular connection around best practices, legal updates, technology tools, and ongoing training can reduce isolation and build confidence.

In this session, Rev. Gary Barraco will discuss how clear, accessible procedural guides strengthen a congregation's daily life. Participants will learn why documenting processes — from worship preparation to financial workflows to communication practices — creates continuity, reduces confusion, and empowers more people to lead confidently. Together, we will reflect on how shared knowledge builds resilience, transparency, and a healthier ministry culture.
